Albert securely moored up, and locked up, in Chatel Censoir.
Crew on "holiday" with younger generations at Rueres in The Morvan,-- beside a swimming pool, unlimited red wine available, and rapidly improving barbecue skills.
The only bleak bit included receiving our mail from the beginning of April. Included Income Tax returns.
Apart from that - life cannot get much better!
Returned to, and opened up Albert, having once again overcome logistics problems of small children, larger (adult) children, cars, trains. time and space.
Favourite quote "the train only goes at 1330 - that gives us 2¾ hours to play". "No, the train goes at 11.30, and it will take us just short of 45 mins to get there if we can get the young ones moving".
All well on Albert, except flowers - in spite of attention by LK, wind battered, and dry.
Spent balance of day after arrival "recovering" from being on holiday, doing not a lot.
Not moving the boat - except across to previous mooring in the shade - to-day.
Car still "on site", so obvious to use it.
Site seeing trip - complete with picnic lunch - to jewel of The Morvan, Vezelay, with it's Basilisk de St Marie Magdalene.
Incredibly beautiful place, largely unsanitised by the desire to attract and make money out of tourists. Having said that, there were dozens of restaurants and eating places - heavily advertised on the approach roads, but somehow the town has not suffered as St Cyr and Chateaneuf have - Just an opinion!
Really enjoyed the visit, although neither of us very good at site seeing. Find it very wearing.
